Last Friday, we saw Salman Khan announcing his Eid 2021 release – Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali, which will be Salman Khan’s close friend and filmmaker Sajid Nadiadwala and directed by Farhad Samji. The entertainer will go on floors in the end of this year and will have a start-to-finish schedule. A source closed to the development told Mumbai Mirror said that Salman Khan’s character will be happy-go-lucky. “It’s essentially a family drama with lots of action too. The narration took place early last week and Salman gave his nod in the first meeting itself as the script is tailormade for his image.”
Talking about his collaboration with Salman Khan, Sajid said, “Salman and I are collaborating after six years and it feels like our Judwaa days are back. I had started writing Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali even before the Kick sequel. It’s a film with a very different approach and we are sure the audience will love Salman in this avatar we have planned.” Sajid is currently finishing the script of Kick 2 along with Rajat Arora and will start the shooting once Salman wraps Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali. “Salman and Sajid are both eager to take the Kick franchise forward and have zeroed down on a script that justifies the character of Devil. The first draft is locked, the final screenplay will be ready by year-end,” the source adds. “Kick 2 will happen in December 2021, I am in the process to finish writing the script,” confirms Sajid Nadiadwala.
Salman Khan is currently shooting for Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai, which is directed by Prabhudheva. The film also stars Disha Patani, Jackie Shroff and Randeep Hooda in key roles. It is set to hit the screens in Eid this year and will clash with Akshay Kumar and Kiara Advani’s Laxmmi Bomb at the ticket windows. So, are you excited for Kick 2? Tweet to us @bollywood_life.
